tigres

From foods

so we went to the baseball game. it was tiger vs rangers. matt's late birthday present.

although he knew we were going on his birthday. and he was excited about it. we had a

lot of fun. our seats were right behind home plate. you can tell how close we were

because of maglio. you can almost reach out and touch him can't you?

From foods

this is because of the zooming involved in catching important baseball players.

i l-o-v-e love jelly coconuts. so. much. they are the best food ever. and i also have scientific evidence to back up my obsessive passion as a fairly reasonable beverage slash food (apparently it's a frackin miracle). i seriously could never eat enough of them. i blame jamaica.

ps my old pal raymie should bring me some from whole foods riiiiight now.

fajitas

chicken and skirt steak on the grill. they were resting here- i wrap the steak in aluminium foil and the chicken just on a plate (not as juicy) in the oven with the tortillas. speaking of which save the steak juice to add to the mushrooms and onions.

we had tortillas, mushrooms and onions, sour cream, salsa, guacamole.... black beans and rice.

sauted asparagus (with chicken stock, salt and pepper), hot dogs in toasted low-carb tortillas with sauerkraut and ketchup. weird. but delicious (can you tell i'm fond of that word?)!

mine had blue cheese and raspberry chipotle sauce. matt's had pickles, cheese, mustard, and ketchup. we also got buns there. they were dense and sweetish and were aaaawesome!

the infamous cake balls

matt my wonderful boyfriend manfriend, made balls made of cake for my birthday! yay! first... bake cakes. we did chocolate and yellah. then squish. then mix with frosting of choice. sample "cake goo." mmmmm. then make into balls of cake goo as big or small as you would like. you can also use an ice cream scoop to make them uniform sizes... matt just used the old eyeball measurement. aftere they are in balls put them in the freezer to get really hard and cold. that's a lot of toothpicks... i just used one in the end.
then a quick dip in chocolate (we used white chocolate "almond bark" and just chocolate chips to make a ganosh). the toothpick goes in the bottom and then use a fork on the bottom to remove and place on cookie sheet.
...and viola! balls of cake! delicious delicious delicious! the perfect bite of cake and chocolate together.
